BEOWULF - TB, Robert Schreiner, 1936, TB. 32" Midseason bloom. The first maroon iris. Solid, smooth maroon blending to a generous margining of soft, rich brown. Standards are of this same deep brown tone. A golden beard gives a glowing center to the flower. It is a large iris, early-blooming, well branched.
